Chris is the founding shareholder of each of the three original subsidiary companies of Mineral Resources (Crushing Services International Pty Ltd, PIHA Pty Ltd and Process Minerals International Pty Ltd). He has over 36 years of experience in the mining contracting, engineering and resource processing industries.
In 1979, Chris founded Karratha Rigging and was Managing Director until its acquisition by Walter Wright Industries in 1982. Chris was subsequently appointed as the General Manager, Walter Wright Industries for the Western Australia and Northern Territory regions. In 1986, Chris founded Genco Ltd, and, following two years of considerable growth, Genco Ltd merged with the Monadelphous Group in 1988.
In September 1988 Receivers and Managers were appointed to the Monadelphous Group. At this time, Chris was appointed the Managing Director and under his careful management, the Monadelphous Group successfully traded out of its financial difficulties and eventually relisted on the ASX in late 1989. In 1992, Chris founded PIHA Pty Ltd, a company focussed on the provision of specialised pipe lining and general infrastructure.
Mark joined us as Chief Financial Officer in August 2018 and become joint Company Secretary in October 2018. Mark is an experienced senior executive with a strong track record in development and implementation of business strategy, balance sheet management, organisational design, project management, and transaction execution.
Prior to joining Mineton, Mark has held senior positions in a number of Australian and international companies, including Laing O’Rourke, Multiplex and Brookfield Multiplex, where he led Multiplex’s listing on the ASX.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales, and has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia (FINSIA).
Bronwyn joined us as Chief People and Shared Services Officer in August 2022 and will lead the development of our People and Shared Services Strategy, including the introduction of world class policies and systems to make MinRes an even better place to work and a magnet for the best talent in the resources industry.
Bronwyn joins us with more than two decades of international experience leading specialised teams and advising organisations on transformational change. She started her career as a barrister and solicitor in Perth, before working as a defence lawyer for a United Nations war crimes tribunal in Sierra Leone. Much of her career was spent with the World Bank managing strategic investment and advisory programs, as well as large-scale international development projects. Since returning to Perth at the start of the pandemic she has held senior executive positions in the WA Government, supporting the State’s COVID recovery and growth policies.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia, and a Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge.
Mike has over 35 years of experience in the mining industry having started his career with Alluvial Gold Mining where he was responsible for constructing, operating and maintaining numerous floating gold dredges and hard rock gold mining and processing. After gaining valuable experience in the gold industry, Mike moved into iron ore mining, holding a range of Maintenance Management and Mine Management positions across a number of projects in the Kimberley, Pilbara and Yilgarn regions of Western Australia.
Through his experience, Mike has gained in-depth knowledge of the operational side of mining and in 2009 joined Mineton as General Manager, Crushing Services International, now trading as CSI Mining Services (CSI), growing it to be one of Australia’s most recognised crushing and processing businesses.
Following on from his success in managing CSI, Mike was appointed to Mineral Resources’ Executive Team and in the role of Chief Executive, Mining Services, is responsible for the full scope of mining services, including CSI, Construction, Logistics and Energy. He will be working to strengthen Mineton’ capabilities in road and rail haulage, energy, camps and marine as we accelerate our growth in these areas. In addition, Mike is responsible for business development activities and ensuring Mineral Resources delivers on key projects currently under development.
Chris joined us as Chief Executive – Iron Ore in July 2022 and will be responsible for overseeing Mineton’ iron ore growth strategy. He brings more than 20 years’ experience managing complex surface and supply chain operations for major and junior mining companies within Australia and internationally.
Chris has successfully led technical and operational teams across iron ore, gold and coal and most recently he was the General Director at Ferrexpo’s Yeristovo Mine, located in Ukraine.
He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Joshua commenced in the role of Chief Executive Officer – Lithium in September 2022 and is responsible for the continued growth of our world class lithium assets and partnerships.
With over 20 years’ experience in the mining and resources sectors across Asia Pacific, Africa and North America, Joshua’s expertise spans corporate strategy, social responsibility, business development and growth, and operations leadership.
He was previously our Executive General Manager Project Development – overseeing all aspects of planning, development, and social responsibility for our mining projects – and prior to joining Mineton held key leadership roles with Newcrest Mining, Aeris Resources Limited, and BHP.
Joshua is a qualified mining engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School.
